About Moffett Field
Moffett Field is located 3 miles north of downtown Mountain View, 10 miles north of San Jose and 34 miles south of San Francisco. Formerly a United States Navy facility, it is now owned and operated by NASA. Neighboring cities within 10 minutes from Moffett Field includes: Sunnyvale, Palo Alto and Milpitas.
Mountain View offers the Center for the Performing Arts, live music at the Shoreline Amphitheatre, an annual Art & Wine Festival, A La Carte and Art Festival, the Spring Downtown Parade, and a weekly Farmer's Market in a rich and diverse Downtown.
Shoreline Park, a 700-acre recreation and park area, is home to an expansive waterway; a wildlife sanctuary; eighteen-hole golf course; the Amphitheatre, Silicon Valley’s foremost concert venue, which can hold up to 25,000 people for musical performances, private functions, and corporate events.
Mountain View has many operating public transit systems, which are easily accessible, including: CalTrain System, the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) Light Rail, various bus lines and numerous bike paths for residents and visitors. Several major freeways and roads run through the City such as U.S. Highway 101, California State Highway 85, California State Highway 82 (also known as El Camino Real), and Central Expressway.
About Camp Parks
Camp Parks, the U.S. Army Combat Support Training Center (CSTC) is the Army’s newest training center. It is located in Dublin at the crossroads of two major highways: Interstate 580 and Interstate 680.
Dublin is city in the "tri-valley area" of Northern California (Dublin, Pleasanton, and Livermore) across the bay from San Francisco. The Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) train runs from Dublin to San Francisco (45 minute trip) and many other locations in the Bay Area, which is suitable for commuting. Amtrack, Livermore Amador Valley Transit Authority (LAVTA), and "Wheels" Tri-Valley Bus Service are also other means of transportation.
Pleasanton is home to the Alameda County Fairgrounds which hosts statewide and regional events, as well as the annual Alameda County Fair. Stoneridge Shopping Center is one major regional mall in Pleasanton as well as a number of other shopping centers.
